Devlog 0.12: Eggs?


New Dungeon

A new week, a new dungeon. This time with incubation as a theme. The idea is that the megucas will get impregnated with eggs, this will weaken them, and they'll eventually expel the eggs creating new enemies. Over time they will also get addicted to this. You know, the usual stuff.

Mechanically there are four values. The egg count is increased by being impregnated by the familiars in the level. These eggs will grow over time (each turn in combat), increasing the egg growth value. Once this value reaches 100, the meguca gains a new move to give birth to the eggs (in hard mode this becomes the only available move). Depending on the egg count, hatchling enemies will be created.

The third value is belly size. This increases based on egg count and egg growth. Higher belly sizes are cumbersome and lower the megucas attacking stats. Then finally there is also an addiction value which increases everytime a meguca gives birth. This will mitigate the penalties from high belly sizes but the meguca will get penalties when she's not impregnated.


Above is the map, it's just a straightforward cave without any special gimmicks (except some crumbling floors).

Bonus Content

As always, the next dungeon is also released for donators. This time based on addiction mechanics, although I primarily wanted a reason to draw the megucas as bunnygirls. Also, in the hard mode of the incubation dungeon, the megucas are forced to give birth the moment they are able to do so. A minor but devious change.
