Devlog 1.0: The End


New Dungeon

A new week, a new dungeon. This time with petplay. The concept is simple, it's like Pokemon but with megucas.

There's only one value this time: Training. There are however some rings. Each meguca must always wear one ring which decides her animal type: cat, dog, cow, pig, horse. As training increases she will gain the moves associated with this animal, and her outfit will also change accordingly (and you get a bunch of dialogues). It's a rather simple concept really.

Since this is the end, there's also an extra dungeon with the final boss. The concept is that she will mix and match all fetishes you have encountered thus far. There's three stages, each one more difficult than the previous, which give you a tour through all the content you have seen thus far.

And yes, the game is finished. No v0.65.15a* or anything, just 16 dungeons. I'll be moving on to a new project.
I'll fix any bugs cropping up though.

Demonetization

I fear that last week, the Itch moderation team looked at the devlog. Saw the gruesome dismemberment of copyrighted anime girls. And decided "nope, the 10%-revenue share isn't worth it". Fair enough. They gave me a month to change from "Payments Collected by Itch" to "Payments Direct to You". Unfortunately, the latter is against the terms of service of both payment processors they use (you need a special agreement with Paypal for adult content). So this would just get my accounts banned there. Fortunately, the game is finished anyway, so it doesn't matter a lot to me.

But, it does matter for those who already paid for the bonus version. I can't just remove the bonus version from Itch, since then previous customers won't be able to access it anymore. Additionally, selling copies also increases your ranking on Itch, which is important to my ego (I got to rank 88 btw). So I'm either going to put the revenue share to 100% for Itch so Stripe has nothing to ban me for, or do something through Subscribestar if that ever gets reviewed (which takes a bloody long time these days).

New Project: Lewdest Dungeon

I'll be creating a new page for this project soon, with devlogs going deeper into my thought- and the devprocess. But I'll give you a quick rundown here:

I want to expand upon the foundation laid by Ero Witches. As you know, the dungeons are pretty good, but do not have any lasting effects on the megucas or future dungeons. So that's the goal: keep the neat in-combat and in-dungeon effects but also make them have lasting consequences.

So I settled upon making a game inspired by Darkest Dungeon. You are a guildmaster and hire randomized adventurers of different classes. You send these out to randomized dungeons (or handcrafted ones for bosses), where they get affected by the dungeon just like in Ero Witches. But, since your characters are replaceable, any effects can now be semi-permanent (removable by upgrading your Hamlet Guild). I also want it to be easily expandable (and moddable) so I can keep making content for longer than the six months I spent on Ero Witches.

I'm also slightly overhauling combat, since I won't be able to rely on using scribbles as my enemies anymore:


Some parts are programming art, some parts are programming UI, everything is subject to change. I'll go into more detail in future devlogs on a future project page. Unlike with Ero Witches, where devlogs focused primarily on the content of the game, I want to delve more in depth into how the game is made.

I also want to quickly go over the H-content, which had to be streamlined to be more universally applicable.
Look at the top-left, these three bars are the following:

  • Green=HP -> At zero, the adventurer can be kidnapped, requiring you to set up a rescue mission. She'll get quite some lasting effects due to the ordeal. But it's better than Darkest Dungeon where adventurers die when they are killed.
  • Blue=Durability -> As it decreases, your equipment gets destroyed (for the length of the dungeon). When an equipment gets destroyed, enemies can replace it with cursed equipment. Having a full set will forcibly change your class. For example, those ratkin in the previous picture will try to turn the adventurers into the "prisoner"-class, which is lousy for attacking but does give a neat defensive bonus at higher levels of lust.
  • Heart=Lust -> Once full enemies can apply mind altering effects. Hypnotic suggestions, crests, fun quirks, etc... When the adventurer has a womb crest, this heart be replaced by that crest. Crests also grow or shrink over time based on the personality of the adventurer. And they aren't all bad. For example, a crest of purity even lowers lust gain (and prevents any masturbation or orgasms of course).

After dungeons the adventurers also receive some random lewd quirks. As for now, none of the previous are strictly negative, at worst they are highly situational (think the generic healslut/packponygirl/meatshield you'll see in cursed loot arts). But again, I'll go deeper into it when I start the Lewdest Dungeon devlogs.

looking forward to the next project, so questions about it probably arnt really fair but im going to shoot a few anyway. you mentioned cursed loot changing classes, would any turn your party into some of the monsters you fight, like a demi human monster transforming then brainwashing your party to increase their numbers? would we be able to turn the tabels and capture certain monsters like the ratgirls and use them once they are err obedient and tottaly not brainwashed? would some cursed loot have a meta effect like resource drain or slowed upgrades?

I myself would also enjoy that, Monsterization, or transformation, or whatever would be cool! of course at the end of the day it's the devs choice, but I would like it.

I like your idea for the lewdest dungeon project. I will definitely keep an eye on this one. Could you create an patreon site to support your projects? I find substribe star quite inconvenient, when it comes to donations.

Ok, it is probably too early to make feature requests for the game, but can we get some female chastity/edging stuff? I really liked the lust management aspect in ero witches dungeon 5, but I still prefer them being applied to girls. :)

fuu already last dungeon, couldn't beat the drugs boss yet. maybe was a bit greedy by getting all arvailable titles...
