Progress Report: Breaking Mods and Updating Scripts

This update (Beta 1.4) breaks most mods. Mods from before this update will not work on the current version and vice versa.

In short, scripts have been reworked so that their functionality is more easily expandable, to reduce the total amount of scripts needed, and to limit the necessity to duplicate scripts for similar functionalities. As a result it will be easier to add content to the game (and its successors). Unfortunately, in the short term this will break all current mods (since the script formatting changes) and causes new bugs. Most serious bugs should have been fixed by now, thanks to the tireless bughunting work of i.a. Sekai, Princessity, Rayko, AFKgjiAEand Kardragon.

Some Goblins

Of course, saying that a version will break the game isn't the best way to get people to play that version. So I added some goblins to sneakily entice people to test it. There are three new Goblins, a panty thief, and two Goblins with long awaited grapples:

Major:

  • Full script rework, see above.

Minor:

  • Updated Chainmail and Latex accessory textures, thanks Jimmy G.
  • New goblins, see above.
  • There's now a voiceline when reporting bugs.

Bugfixes:

  • Stealth Vine was completely broken.
  • Mimics would stop working if all items were infinite.
  • Overcharge and Drink from the Tap targetted the wrong girl.
  • Destiny tooltips couldn't be translated.
  • Brain parasite gear didn't keep the brain parasite around.
  • Parasite gear showed up over other clothing.
  • Softlock when right-clicking pop panel when retreat/surrender panel was visible.
  • Opening and closing pop panel or settings while curio panel was open allowed for moving.
  • Moving between mods in the editor would break stuff.
  • Fixed parasite gear visuals.
  • God's own gear's effect has been changed, in fact it has been broken ever since the item was introduced.

The Hotfix additionally fixes these 24 bugs:

  • Crash when hovering some tooltips with specific script scopes.
  • Receive healing goal didn't register. Gained suggestions showed up as citrine.
  • Capturing and rescuing adventurers didn't show up. Capturing adventurers didn't work. 
  •  Signet rings were completely broken. 
  •  Tokens and Dots showed the name of their source instead of their name. 
  •  Removing tokens didn't show up and could crash the game in case of preserve_token_chance. 
  •  Alraune Mother tokens didn't work correctly. The healing collar would always force the wearer to apologize. 
  •  Quirks could remain at 0 progress for a day before being removed. 
  •  Hovering repeatable guild upgrades would crash the game. 
  •  Enemy moves that released grapples (e.g. Iron Maiden or Tanks) could crash the game in multiple ways. 
  •  Receiving the same loot from multiple sources would show up incorrectly.
  • Remove_parasite was handled twice.
  • Chain moves caused Citrine to pop up as a floater.
  • Token tooltips were malformed. mulDMG, mulREC, REC didn't work with scopes.
  • Tutorial voicelines weren't playing. 
  • Subtitles weren't showing up. 
  • Iron Maiden's spit out could duplicate pops. 
  • Getting an affliction could crash the game. 
  • Moves that moved multiple actors would break. 
  • Death effects would be applied twice.

Do any of the goblins have a sex attack

Yes, three of them.

Just don't upgrade your version yet, most mods should get a 1.4 version by next week
