Progress Report: Even More Machines


More Machines:

As mentioned in the previous devlog, some machines were still missing. They are here now. Five more machines that grapple your adventurers:


I've also finalized the encounter tables for the machines, so the lab dungeons are now fully-armed and operational, including their Elite+ variants.

As always I'm also slowly updating outdated parts of the game. As an example, here's the updated difficulty map (old vs. new):


Next:

Next week is another public release, it will contain all updates up to and including this one. So look forward to the Alraunes, Transformation Rings, Seedbed boss dungeon, and these machines. For supporters the Mechanic boss dungeon will also be included.

Changelog:

Major:

  • Five new machine enemies, all with grapples.
  • Updated encounter lists for machines (about 30 new encounter types).

Minor:

  • The map overlays are now cleaned up.
  • Console commands: gear_viewer and enemy_viewer (consider them a gallery of some sorts).
  • Four new presets: Aster, Yu, Vian, and Ryona.
  • Exposure tokens now counter dodge tokens.
  • Updated and improved Chinese translations, thanks Xe-No and Fishplate!

Bugfixes:

  • Trait overlap calculation at initial assignment was completely reversed, oops.
  • Chairs turned people into Australians.
  • Gambler's hood didn't hide the necessary layers.
  • There weren't actually any available veteran dungeons before the first boss, so you couldn't complete that mission in time.
  • The chair icon had some Alraune remnants.
  • Lended out adventurers didn't leave their job.
  • Sometimes gear disappeared when replacing it.
  • Removing negative dots also removed Cleanse.
  • Stuns didn't get cleared if you received multiple stuns during one turn.
  • The idle animation in the Hospital was incorrect.
  • Tooltips were borked in the Church.
  • Reloading the game at combat start would remove the amble token from ponygirls.
  • Straitjackets didn't force tackle as riposte.
  • Latex suits deleted belly of the kneeling puppet.
  • Desire tooltips showed +1 instead of +0.5 for submission desire.
  • Milk that was selected in the provision shop disappeared when skipping days.
  • Kidnap protection could cause a softlock if the player died to a dot. 
  • Reach first boss tutorial would complete when hovering over any quest.
  • Target hit rate could be displayed if either dodge or miss chance was higher than 100%.
